2024 Weather Carneros Gap Chardonnay

The 2024 Weather Carneros Gap Vineyard Chardonnay is crafted from Chardonnay clone Dijon 76, grown at the windswept Carneros Gap Vineyard in Los Carneros, Napa Valley. Pale gold hues with aromas of white peach, lemon curd and toasted brioche are accented by a flinty minerality. The palate is bright and layered with citrus, baked pear, crème brûlée, and roasted almond. A creamy, well-integrated texture is lifted by refreshing acidity and a subtle mineral thread. The finish is long and graceful, balancing richness with vibrant energy. Aged 10 months sur lie in 75% new French oak. Only 92 cases produced.

A cool, wet winter at the start of 2024 replenished soils and set the stage for a balanced growing season. Early spring brought mild conditions, leading to even flowering and healthy canopies. Warm summer days were tempered by steady marine breezes and cool nights characteristic of Los Carneros, Napa Valley, allowing for gradual ripening and excellent acid retention. As harvest neared, stable weather ensured fruit of exceptional purity and poise. The 2024 vintage is marked by bright citrus and stone fruit, refined texture, and vibrant energy—a beautifully focused expression of Carneros Chardonnay.
